Wine Flight Selection - Professionals Series with Alex Webb


We are delighted to include a bottle of Charles Heidsieck to toast Alex’s MasterChef win from December.  Of course, it’s also a wonderful accompaniment to Dean’s signature Lobster!  We are also supplying the peerless Pieropan Soave Classico (the creators of Soave as a wine) to enjoy with both Scallop and Cured Trout courses.  Finally, we offer the Côtes-du-Rhône from Maison Les Alexandrin to match with Alex’s Ribeye, its gentle body but ripe blackcurrant combines beautifully.

NV Brut Réserve, Charles Heidsieck, Champagne, France (75cl) ABV 12%

The Brut Réserve NV is a radiant pale gold colour with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose is characterised by complex pastry aromas, with an opulent combination of ripe apricot, mango and greengages, dried fruits, pistachio and almond. The palate begins with a silky-smooth sensation, developing into ripe fleshy apricot, melon and enticing plum pastry notes and delicate spice. There is perfect balance of freshness and generosity.

2019 Soave Classico, Pieropan, Veneto, Italy (75cl) ABV 12%

This is a fresh and expressive Soave, with classic aromas of white flowers, almond blossoms, marzipan and a touch of citrus. Rounded, ripe fruit is perfectly balanced by a fresh, clean acidity. Long and fragrant, it has a note of fine, almond pastry on the finish.

2018 Côtes-du-Rhône , Maison Les Alexandrins, Southern Rhône, France (75cl) ABV 14%

This Côtes-du-Rhône offers intense aromas of juicy red berries, a hint of spice and blackcurrant from the ripe Syrah. On the palate, the silky tannins are beautifully balanced, culminating in a fresh and elegant finish.
