NV Brut Réserve, Charles Heidsieck, Champagne, France (37.5cl) ABV 12%
The Brut Réserve NV is a radiant pale gold colour with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose is characterised by complex pastry aromas, with an opulent combination of ripe apricot, mango and greengages, dried fruits, pistachio and almond. The palate begins with a silky-smooth sensation, developing into ripe fleshy apricot, melon and enticing plum pastry notes and delicate spice. There is perfect balance of freshness and generosity.
2019 Picpoul de Pinet, Domaine La Croix Gratiot, Languedoc, France (75cl) ABV 12.5%
This wine is bright yellow in colour with youthful highlights. Vibrant citrus aromas of lime and grapefruit are on the nose. The palate is full but extremely well balanced, with fresh Picpoul acidity and pure fruit flavours. The finish is long and mouthwatering, with complexity of stone fruit, spice and minerality.
2017 `Vinha Grande` Douro Tinto, Casa Ferreirinha, Portugal (75cl) ABV 14%
Deep ruby in colour. On the nose, this wine showcases intense aromas of blackberry, red cherry and plum alongside floral nuances and savoury notes of balsamic, tobacco box and spice. Velvety tannins and a well-integrated acidity on the palate with a long, harmonious finish.
