Tasting Notes

A radiant pale gold with fine, persistent bubbles. Complex pastry aromas lead the nose, with an opulent combination of ripe apricot, mango, greengages, dried fruits, pistachio and almond. The palate begins with a silky-smooth sensation and develops into ripe, fleshy apricot, melon, plum pastry notes and delicate spice. It has a perfect balance of freshness and generosity.

The Producer

This family-owned house was founded by the man who became known as 'Champagne Charlie'. It is the smallest of the Grandes Marques. Its winemaking team has been named Sparkling Winemaker of the Year at the International Wine Challenge 16 times.

The Vineyards

Grapes are carefully selected from 60 specific sites. Key sites include Oger for Chardonnay, Ambonnay for Pinot Noir and Verneuil for Meunier.

In the Winery

The blend includes 40% reserve wines with an average age of 10 years. It is aged for at least five years before disgorging, far beyond the 15-month legal minimum.
